OUR STORY
Little Brushwood Designs was inspired by conversations with other Shiba Inu enthusiasts who are passionate about this breed. The company name comes from the Japanese Shiba Inu which translates in English to little brushwood dog.
MEET THE TEAM
Hello! I’m Barb Sotiropoulos a Canadian graphic designer, artist and Shiba Mom based in Calgary, Canada. I fell in love with the Shiba Inu breed many years ago was lucky enough to finally have one as a family member in July of 2021 when Camaro came into our lives. To say the experience of owning this breed has exceeded my expectations is an understatement. My short time as a Shiba Mom has been at times challenging but also wonderful and I wouldn’t change any of it for the world. One thing I have quickly learned is that other people who also have Shibas LOVE them to the point of border-line obsession. I can't say I blame them.
I created Little Brushwood Designs to pay tribute to this breed (and our collective obsessions) by using my passion for design to create home, lifestyle and apparel products that Shiba parents like myself would be proud to have as their own.
Camaro is a red sesame male who is curious, goofy, affectionate and sassy! All the things you want and expect in a Shiba and more! His smile is infectious and every day is a new adventure with our sweet pup. Camaro is Little Brushwood’s official pup ambassador, product sniffer and muse for a lot of the designs you will see here now and in the future.
